Tuesday March 14, 2006 Ctrl-Alt-Del Presents Digital Overload

Welcome to Digital Overload!

When it comes to the greatest in web-comics Ctrl-Alt-Del is no doubt one of the first to come to mind. It is always on my daily read list along with countless others. The mastermind creator behind it, Tim Buckley, maintains his own liveliness in addition to creating the comic with his blog posts on current gaming happenings and is revered by many fans world wide. Digital Overload is Ctrl-Alt-Del’s first attempt at hosting a LAN/gaming event and looks to deliver the same excellence that it serves in web-comic form on the web.

The event, hosted in the city of Providence, Rhode Island in the middle of downtown at the Rhode Island Convention Center, opened its doors on Friday evening at 6PM to a line of excited gamers. This opening on Friday was a bit later than normally seen, especially given its nightly kick-out time of 1AM, but this didn’t damper the spirits of the excited CAD readers and Digital Overload attendees. Security at the door was stringent but progressed smoothly to start off the first night of a 3-day full-on gaming extravaganza.
